KING & COUNTRY NEW RELEASES
THOMAS GUNN NEW RELEASES
The Spotswood Specialty Company in Lexington, KY. The toy is called "Rocket Parachute". The "Rocket" is made of wood, metal and card stock. The paratrooper is a flat tin soldier and the parachute is made of red paper with original strings still attached. The paratrooper measures 2.75" tall. The toy is designed to be folded into the rocket and the launched with a small sling shot rubber band (sling shot not included.)

The Porter Chemical Company of Magerstown Maryland. The toy is called "Tru-Flite Flying Ace Parachute Jumper" and it includes a "catapult" launcher (sling shot type tool), and a large 8" Paratrooper made of heavy card stock attached to an 8" wooden "arrow" (total 16" Long!), plus a great paper parachute with original strings attached, and the original box.

The Tipp Novelty Company in Tippecanoe City, Ohio. The toy is called "Tipp's Original Parachute Jumper." The very well sculpted lead soldier paratrooper measures 2.5" tall and he is fully sculpted with front and back in semi-round 3D (not a flat figure.) His parachute is made of paper and seems to be in great original shape with original strings on the chute.

Here is a parachute toy called "PARA-COMMANDO" Copyright 1943 by ELVY KALEP AVIATRIX in Jersey City, NJ. This great old toy features a real silk parachute and a wooden paratrooper with blue leather uniform!

Here is a parachute toy called "Army Navy Par-A-Chute." Made in USA by Para-Shooter, patented March 10, 1931. It includes a large 11.75 inch blow tube launcher and two Paratroopers made of heavy card stock attached to what appears to be real silk parachutes with little wooden sticks for strings! These are very similar in style to the vintage toy parachutes seen in some erector sets of the same era.

Here is a parachute toy called "PARATOY." Made in USA by Paratoy MFG, Limon CO. This is a large toy that is approx three feet long total (including 8" paratrooper, real cloth parachute 9" in diameter, plus strings.) It comes with the orginal paper packaging which has great graphics on the front and text/graphics instructions on the back. The image of the paratrooper is carved into the wood figure.
