Barclay 200 Series Midi Figures

Circa: 1958 to 1970

These small scale hollowcast lead toy soldiers was Barclay's last attempt to stay in a toy market which had long since switched to plastic. They would stay into production until the company's demise in 1971.

The khaki soldiers rarely show up in blister packs and are generally seen less loose, suggesting to me that a slimed down production process favored a single color toward the end.

Unlike the podfoots, there are not many paint variations on the soldiers, but do see a few paint variations on the cowboys and indians. Probably due to a lower production and a streamlined painting process.
