THOMAS GUNN NEW RELEASES

5 & 10 Corps

Founder: Ed Poole

Location: Austin, Texas

Circa: 1979 to 1998

Ed Poole began producing the "5&10 Corps" line of Dimestore figures in 1979 and continued producing them until 1998. He produced a wide range of original Dimestore figures and complex sets. The most unique thing about the "5 & 10 Corps" was that Ed only traded the toy soldiers, he never sold them, not until he quit producing them and had a final sale of his stock. There never was any great quantity of his work produced, but the quality and originality was exceptional. Fortunately Ed produced a nice color catalog with almost all of the "5&10 Corps" toy soldiers and sets produced. In 2000 Ron Eccles bought all of Ed Poole's 5&10 Corps moulds and still produces various figures today.
