About Me

I was born and raised in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in the small town of Oxford, Alabama. My family has inhabited North Alabama since 1830 and traces back to Colonial times in America. Prior to immigrating to America, my family hailed from England and Germany. I am also a Genealogy enthusiast.

Our family has always been very patriotic, with numerous fathers and grandfathers, brothers and cousins being killed or wounded in nearly every U.S. war back to the Revolutionary War in the U.S. and to Europe in the Prussian Army of the early 19th Century.

I myself served in the U.S.M.C. with the 1st Battalion, 8th Marines, Weapons Company, Dragon Platoon. Toy soldiers were a way of life growing up in rural America. Like mom and apple pie. This is the roots for my collections today. I mainly collect rare and unknown Dimestore figures, along with some of the best contemporary Dimestore producers.
